Early Childhood

This stage is a time of extraordinary growth across all the fields of development. The most important task of this early childhood stage is skill development. This stage starts from birth to 8 years old. A three-year-old kid can develop many of the skills such as walking, sitting, toilet, etc. Between three and five years of age, kids can generate and start to build their skills. By age five, most of the children can have reasonable control over holding some simple things such as pen, spoon, crayons, etc. Besides, over five years of age, children can develop vocabulary words. They can be able to use language to understand and learn. There will be growth in socio-economical skills includes the formation of gender identification and knowing relationships between the age of three to five.

Mostly, middle childhood doesn’t come under as one of the essential stages in growth and development. However, most of the researchers found that the importance of middle childhood. There will be a development of cognitive skills, interpersonal relationships, personality, and motivation. In this stage of middle childhood, children, most importantly, can learn the values of their society.

Another important thing is that this stage could call as integration. The cognitive development of this stage will be slow. Children can form hypotheses and classification in this middle childhood stage of growth and development. Therefore, they need to have some learning activities at home or at playschool. This stage is a time when children can develop an enthusiasm for work and learning something. In particular, motivation can be the most crucial factor for children in this stage to build their self-esteem. At the age of 8 to twelve, children can develop competence in social and interpersonal relationships. These kids can influence their family and learn some skills through family relationships. They increase their ability to participate in some activities with family. These skills can help in building a strong foundation for the next stage named adolescence.

These people are bombarded by the pictures of sex, violence, and some impossible beauty standards. They will confuse with the social, economic, and some physical changes in the society.
